NorthStar sine RIB RT & WRT modeller er i en klasse for seg selv.
Det finnes veldig mange konkurrenter som har tettet åpningen mellom innvendig dekk og tubene. Dette ser jo praktisk og vedlikeholdsmessig meget smart ut, men NorthStar har valgt en løsning hvor vi kun limer en soft neoprene gummilist til glassfiberen innvendig under pontongen slik at pontongen ikke er festet både i glassfiber og tuben (kommer på alle 2007modellen av 175RT, 195RT, 225RT & 185WRT, 205WRT).Vi oppnår at pontongene løper fritt opp og ned og sideveis som gir en betydelig bløtere gange og en helt annen performance i røff sjø sammenlignet med de som har valgt å lime både mot pontongen og glassfiberen. Pontongenes fleksibilitet og egenskaper bir dermed sterkt begrenset.NorthStar sine pontonger er av Neoprene Hypalon. Vi benytter nøyaktig samme kvalitet og oppbygging av de ulike lagene i pontongene som Novurania som vel er en av verdens mest eksklusive og kostbare ribber. En bedre kvalitet sammenligning finnes vel neppe.

RT
RT hull is a special hull using the water's acceleration on the surface of the hull by directing it to the bottom. This is the reason of the smooth riding sensation you have when you ride an RT. The tubes also work in harmony with the hull and create the necessary balancing as well as the lift when the would drop between waves.Another important feature of the RT hull is its "no bow up" attitude as the boat will not need to struggle to overcome its wave to start planing like in other boats. RT hulls plane instantly and apart from the fact that this gives you a very comfortable ride, it also reduces the stress on the engine and lowers consumption.In return, RT hull loses a bit on the top end. A more conventional hull in similar dimensions may provide a higher top speed. But in boating we spend very little of our time at top speed and even if we do, we prefer to do it comfortably like in an RT hull. This hull is called Pro-Trim Evo 7.

WRT
WRT hull is a more conventional hull but also retain some of the characteristics of the RT hull especially in the bow and in its longitudinal rail. However WRT hull does not have an aft pad and does not use the water acceleration in the same manner. This hull provides very nice cruising characteristics and a very sport ride for calm to medium seas. It gives away some comfort on rough seas due to its ultra wide beam. Of course, you know that the beam offers tremendous comfort inside. We would like to call this the "Dynamic Space" which will be our new ad slogan for the WRT. The hull is called a Hydro Delta and still offers the best ride in the industry among wide hull RIBs.
